PHILIPS AIR PURIFIER AC3220/60

The Philips Smart Air Purifier AC3220/60 is designed for powerful whole-room air purification with intelligent sensing, advanced filtration and convenient smart controls. With a high Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR) of 520 m³/hr, it can rapidly circulate and purify indoor air, making it suitable for bedrooms, living rooms, offices and other larger indoor spaces. Philips lists effective coverage of up to approximately 62 m² / 667 sq. ft. for this model.

Its innovative dual-fan design draws air from two sides, helping increase purification speed while maintaining a compact footprint. Philips states that the purifier can clean the air in a 20 m² room in less than 6 minutes, making it suitable for situations where rapid purification is required.

The purifier uses an advanced 3-layer filtration system consisting of a Pre-Filter, NanoProtect HEPA Filter and Active Carbon Filter. Together, these layers are designed to capture 99.97% of particles as small as 0.003 microns, including fine dust, pollen, pet-related allergens and other airborne particles.

Its Active Carbon filtration layer also helps capture unpleasant odours and gaseous pollutants such as VOCs, NO₂ and other common indoor contaminants arising from traffic pollution, paints, furniture and household cleaning products. The purification process does not rely on ionisation or ozone generation.

The AC3220/60 is designed to provide additional protection against common allergens. Philips states that it can capture up to 99.99% of allergens from dust mites, pollen, pet dander and mould spores, and the model carries allergy-friendly certification.

Philips also states that the purifier has been independently tested for its ability to reduce certain airborne viruses and bacteria, including H1N1 influenza virus and Staphylococcus bacteria, when used under specified test conditions.

Built-in AeraSense Technology continuously monitors indoor air quality, scanning the surrounding air frequently to detect changes in pollution levels. The purifier provides real-time air quality feedback through a numerical display and colour indicator, allowing users to quickly understand current indoor air conditions.

Integrated sensors monitor PM2.5, temperature and humidity, giving users a more complete view of their indoor environment. In Auto Mode, the purifier automatically adjusts fan speed according to detected air quality levels for convenient hands-free operation.

The purifier can be connected to the Philips Air+ app, allowing users to remotely monitor indoor and outdoor air quality, control purifier settings and manage purification schedules from a compatible smartphone. Smart scheduling features can also prepare cleaner air around bedtime or before waking up.

For quieter operation, SilentWings Technology uses an airflow and fan-blade design inspired by owl flight. Noise levels can go as low as approximately 15 dB(A), making the purifier particularly suitable for bedrooms, study rooms and workspaces. Maximum operating sound is approximately 47.5 dB(A).

The purifier offers five speed levels, along with Automatic Mode and Sleep Mode, enabling users to select operation according to air quality, room conditions and noise preferences.

Despite its powerful 520 m³/hr CADR, the Philips AC3220/60 consumes only 36W at maximum power, making it an energy-efficient option for prolonged everyday air purification.

An ambient night light provides additional convenience for bedroom use, while its compact dimensions of approximately 52 × 28.5 × 28.5 cm and weight of around 6.2 kg make the purifier relatively easy to reposition within the home.

The purifier uses the Philips FY3200/30 replacement filter, with Philips recommending filter replacement at approximately one-year intervals, depending on actual usage and environmental conditions.

Finished in Silver and Arctic White, the Philips AC3220/60 combines high-capacity purification, real-time AQI monitoring, intelligent automatic operation and smart app connectivity in a clean contemporary design.
